Water leakage problems can be tricky — what you see isn’t always where the problem starts. Many times, the damp patch on your ceiling or wall is just the symptom, while the real source could be metres away, hidden behind tiles, concrete, or another unit’s wall.

Because of this, a proper leakage investigation often takes time. We have to:

  • Inspect all possible sources — from roofing, wall joints, balconies, and plumbing lines to external structures.

  • Conduct step-by-step elimination tests (dry and wet testing) to confirm each area.

  • Wait for test results — water movement through concrete can be slow, so signs may only appear after hours or even days.

Skipping steps or rushing this process can mean missing the real cause, which leads to the same problem coming back.

Yet, some homeowners choose to overlook smaller signs of leakage because they want to move in quickly and avoid any delays. We understand the excitement of getting into your new home — but here’s why it’s risky:

  • Recurring issues will cost more to fix later.

  • Damage to new renovations (floors, carpentry, paintwork) can happen in weeks or months.

  • Potential mould growth that affects air quality and health.

Bottom line: A little patience now can save you a lot of money, hassle, and frustration in the future. Always fix the root cause before starting or finalising renovations — your future self will thank you.
