Low price? Not what you think.

Cheap solutions and quick fixes often lead to greater expenses, more damage, and safety risks in the long run. Here is why:
❌ Poor quality materials fail faster:
Inappropriate waterproofing solutions often use low-grade materials that break down quickly under weather exposure. For instance, applying a cheap acrylic coat to a flat concrete roof may look initially sensible. However, sometime within less than a year, UV exposure and rainfall will cause the coating to crack and peel. Water will seep in, leading to mould, interior damage, and eventually weakening of the slab. Fixing it later may require full reapplication, possibly concrete repair, costing a lot. Did you get bang for the buck?
❌ Improper application results in short lifespan:
Quick fixes usually mean insufficient surface preparation, no priming, or shortcuts during installation. This dramatically reduces the effectiveness of even decent materials. If a contractor skips adequate surface cleaning and priming before applying a membrane to save time, the membrane is likely to peel off within a year due to poor adhesion. Water will infiltrate beneath, rotting the substrate and leading maybe to full roof replacement. Did you get bang for the buck?
❌ Hiding the problem does not solve it:
Cheap fixes often cover up symptoms instead of addressing root causes like structural cracks, poor drainage, or flashing failure. We could think of a building owner patching a persistent leak around a roof vent with silicone caulk every few months, while the real issue is deteriorated flashing and inadequate slope. Water continues infiltrating into insulation, causing mould growth and energy inefficiency. Eventually, it leads to costly removal and re-roofing. Did you get bang for the buck?
❌ No warranty or accountability kills the trust:
Low-cost contractors or do-it-yourself solutions often come with no guarantees. If they fail, you are left with no recourse and full replacement costs. If you hire a budget roofer for half the market rate, they will use unskilled labour and substandard materials with no warranty. When leaks reappear, the company may well have vanished, and the homeowner will pay double to get it done right. Did you get bang for the buck?
